Spurs transfer news: Lyon chief confirms talks with PSG over Tanguy Ndombele
Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that the Ligue 1 giants are discussing the possible sale of Tanguy Ndombele to rivals Paris Saint-Germain (h/t Express).
PSG won another Ligue 1 title this season and the negotiations are with several other clubs, according to Aulas.
Speaking to L’Equipe, the Lyon chief explained why the PSG talks were revived (h/t Express):
“I am in negotiations with the biggest European clubs and I revived the PSG talks myself to tell them to make sure not to feel excluded.
“I thought it was time to give PSG direction because PSG will gain more to use French clubs.
“If PSG aligns with the proposals we have and Tanguy agrees, obviously it would be nice if he goes to PSG.”
Tottenham might have to look elsewhere
The Express adds that Tottenham are interested in the 22-year-old Ndombele, and the Frenchman has also caught the fancy of Manchester City and Manchester United.
The 22-year-old has been excellent for the Ligue 1 side over the past two seasons and would have added a lot of steel and grit to our midfield.
Spurs need another midfield signing given that we sold Mousa Dembele in the winter window. Victor Wanyama has struggled with injuries this season while Harry Winks and Eric Dier have had their problems too.
Tottenham need to make some signings in this summer window if they are to push on from their Champions League final appearance, and we could still win the tournament on June 1.

Ndombele would be a fantastic signing for us, however, we might have to draw a list of other targets given Aulas’ comments on the French midfielder.
