Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos
Spanish outlet AS (h/t Sun) reports that Tottenham have identified 22-year-old Dani Ceballos as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.
The report claims that Mauricio Pochettino has earmarked the Real Madrid star as a summer signing as there are doubts over the future of Eriksen.
The Dane is out of a contract at the end of next season and the report adds that Real Madrid have been linked with a £130million bid for the 27-year-old.
Eriksen is one of the best players in the world and we might have to sell the Dane in the summer or risk losing him for free.
Ceballos unwanted at Madrid
The Sun claims that Zinedine Zidane is prepared to wait a year to get Eriksen for free, and the report adds that Real want to sell Ceballos.
The 22-year-old also wants to leave the Spanish giants in the summer, and the report adds that the midfielder is uncertain if he will get regular starts in the upcoming season.
The Spanish midfielder played 32 times for the La Liga giants this season and found the back of the net just three times.
There is interest in the 22-year-old from London rivals West Ham, however, playing in the Champions League makes Spurs favourites to land Ceballos (h/t Sun).
Finding a replacement for Eriksen is never going to be easy and hopefully, we can get the Dane to sign a new deal with the club soon.

Ceballos could be a great player in the future, but that requires Mauricio Pochettino to perform some magic and take the Spaniard to another level.
