Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in 19-year-old Rekeem Harper
The Daily Star reports that Tottenham are interested in West Bromwich Albion’s young midfielder Rekeem Harper.
The 19-year-old played 23 times for the Baggies last season as they missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
The youngster scored once this season and notched up an assist for the Baggies. The central midfielder has also caught the eye of newly promoted side Norwich City, according to the report.
However, Scottish giants Celtic seem to be doing a lot to get the youngster across the border.
Hoops invite star to watch them in action
Celtic won another Premiership title this season despite losing Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City in the middle of the campaign.
The report claims that the Hoops are interested in Harper and he was was in the stands to watch Celtic defeat Hearts at the weekend.
Tottenham could do with more steel in the midfield, however, Harper can improve further under the right manager.
It is to be seen if the player is ready for a move to the Premier League and Spurs did not make a single signing over two transfer windows.
That still didn’t stop us from reaching the Champions League final and finishing in the top four.
