Latest Spurs news: Harry Winks is fit for Champions League final
Sky Sports reports that Harry Winks is fit for the Champions League final on 1st June against Liverpool.
The 23-year-old midfielder last played for us in the 1-0 win over Manchester City in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League.
The midfielder was recovering from a groin injury and the report claims that the Englishman trained with Tottenham team for the entire week.
Winks’ return will be a huge boost for manager Mauricio Pochettino as he plans to win his first trophy at Tottenham. The English midfielder has played 39 times for us in all competitions this season, and found the back of the net once.
Pochettino to make a decision on another player
Winks should start for us if he is 100% fit, and the report claims that Pochettino has to take a call on Harry Kane’s role in the final.
The striker is also closing in on full fitness and trained with some of the players recently.
Kane and Winks returning to the team would be a huge boost, however, the pair is rusty and putting them against a good Liverpool team might be risky.
