Spurs transfer news: AS Roma could move for Fernando Llorente if Edin Dzeko leaves
Corriere dello Sport (h/t Evening Standard) reports that Serie A giants AS Roma are interested in Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente.
The Spaniard is out of a contract at the end of the season and the report suggests that the Rome side will move for Llorente if Edin Dzeko leaves in the summer.
Llorente has struggled for regular starts at Tottenham since his move from Swansea, however, he has had a huge say in our Champions League campaign this season.
The Spaniard has bagged 8 goals and provided 5 assists in all competitions, and scored the important third goal against Manchester City at the Etihad in our second leg quarter-final.
Llorente also came on in the second half against Ajax and helped Spurs record a 3-2 win over the Dutch side in the Netherlands.
That win took us into the Champions League final against Liverpool which will be played on June 1.
Interest from Spain for Llorente too
The Spaniard might be 34 but there seems to be a lot of interest in him. Llorente has played in the Serie A before at Juventus, and Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sun) claims that Barcelona are also interested in the striker.
The former Athletic Bilbao star is seen as a short-term replacement to help Luis Suarez in scoring goals, and a return to either country could see him get more games.

Hopefully, Llorente can help us in one more European tie and win the Champions League before leaving.
