Spurs transfer news: Tottenham could end interest in Jack Grealish if they sign Jack Clarke
The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham have bid £10million for Leeds United winger Jack Clarke.
The 18-year-old broke into the Leeds United team this season but could not help them gain promotion to the Premier League.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side were knocked out by Derby County in the playoffs, and the report claims that a move for the youngster could see Spurs end their interest in an Aston Villa star.
Jack Grealish has the chance of leading Villa back to the Premier League. The Villans face Derby in the play-off final after losing at the same hurdle last season.
The report claims that Mauricio Pochettino could end his interest in Grealish should the Argentine be able to land Clarke.
The Argentine has a great relationship with Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa, and the report claims that the Championship side might have to sell some players after missing out on promotion.
Clarke has the potential to develop a lot under Pochettino
The English attacker can play on either wing and at 18, he still has a long way to go in his career.
Pochettino has done wonders for several English talents during his spell at Spurs and Southampton, and it will be interesting to see if we can nab Clarke on the cheap from Leeds.
Grealish would be a great signing for Spurs, however, promotion to the Premier League could make it tough for us to land him from Villa.
