Latest Spurs news: Mauricio Pochettino hints at staying at Tottenham beyond the Champions League final
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted at staying at the club beyond the Champions League final.
The Wanda Metropolitano hosts the Champions League final between Tottenham and Liverpool on 1 June, and the manager claimed he could quit the club if Spurs lifted the title (h/t Mirror).
However, the Argentine dropped a major hint of staying beyond the final as he spoke about the next chapter post the Champions League (h/t Mirror).
“There were two different feelings mixed in the same moment after the semi-final.
“Reaching the Champions League final is the end of an amazing chapter for the club. But, at the same time, the moment you reach the final, it’s like, ‘I want to be involved in the next chapter of the club’.”
Spurs need to take the next step
Pochettino has done an excellent job so far since joining from Southampton, but our spending in recent seasons has not matched that of the top teams in the Premier League.
Spurs didn’t sign a single player in two windows, yet we are set to play our biggest European game in decades.
Tottenham have to spend in the summer and strengthen a side that has seen several injuries hit them this season.

It is difficult to imagine any other manager doing as great a job in a similar condition as Pochettino has, and we have to keep the Argentine for the coming years.
