Latest Spurs news: Harry Kane ready for Champions League final
Tottenham forward Harry Kane is ready for the Champions League final after recovering from ankle ligament damage.
The Englishman hasn’t played for us since the Champions League quarter-final first leg win over Manchester City in April.
Kane has been on a mission to regain fitness for the final against Liverpool and the forward shared some great news ahead of the clash in Madrid (h/t BBC):
“I feel good. There have been no problems so far.
“I started to feel my way back with the team at the end of last week. This week now is to get the fitness as high as possible.”
The final is still a few days away and Kane could start the tie, however, he left the decision to manager Mauricio Pochettino:
“Then it’s down to the manager. The manager will assess it and decide whether I’m ready to go or not but, so far, I feel good and ready.”
Poch feared Kane could be out for the season
The manager initially feared that our striker would be out for the entire season (h/t BBC), however, Kane’s return will be a huge boost for the team.
The striker managed 24 goals this season despite a couple of injuries and he could be the X-factor in the final.
Spurs have done extremely well to reach this stage without the forward and we have a couple of quality forwards in Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura.

However, naming Kane even on the bench could give us a psychological boost as we look to lift the Champions League crown for the first time.
