Spurs transfer news: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t interested in signing Toby Alderweireld
The Sun reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t interested in signing Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.
The Belgian defender is allowed to leave for £25million in the summer, due to a clause in his contract (h/t Sun).
The report adds that Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in Alderweireld, but Solskjaer believes he can turn things around with the current centre-backs at the club.
However, United cannot rule out a move for the 30-year-old and could make a decision on bidding for him or not next week (h/t Sun).
Alderweireld has been excellent for Tottenham this season and should face Liverpool in the Champions League final on Saturday.
London rivals interested in Alderweireld
The report adds that Alderweireld expects to remain at Tottenham for the final year of his deal.
There is also interest from our London rivals Arsenal, according to the Sun. Unai Emery failed to win the Europa League as Chelsea defeated the Gunners 4-1 in the final.
Alderweireld is an important player for Tottenham and finding a replacement on the cheap would be difficult.
Keeping him for another season sees Spurs run the risk of losing him on a free, however, we could negotiate a new deal with him.

Solskjaer not wanting the Belgian is a minor boost for us, and hopefully, Alderweireld will remain a Tottenham player beyond next season too.
