Tottenham vs Liverpool predictions: Tottenham lineup
Tottenham play their biggest European clash in decades as we face Liverpool for the Champions League crown.
Spurs’ road to the final has been filled with drama as we saw Lucas Moura score an incredible hat-trick to dump Ajax out of the competition.
The Brazilian scored his goals in the second half of the second leg semi-final as we looked set to exit the competition.
Late goals have been a norm for Spurs in the Champions League this season, and there should be some fireworks at the Wanda Metropolitano as Mauricio Pochettino looks to win a trophy at the club.
The Argentine has to make a couple of tough decisions regarding the starting XI. Harry Kane and Harry Winks have recovered from their problems, and are in the running to start against the Reds.
However, dropping Moura from the attack would be a blow to the Brazilian given his excellent performance a few weeks back.
It is going to be an incredible game against the Reds, and here is the predicted Tottenham starting XI.
Predicted Tottenham XI
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Manager: Mauricio Pochettino
Hugo Lloris (GK)
The captain won the World Cup in the summer and could end the season on a high by lifting the Champions League.
Kieran Trippier (RB)
Trippier hasn’t been great for Spurs this season but should get the nod for the clash against Liverpool.
Jan Vertonghen (CB)
It is great news that Vertonghen has returned to fitness after his injury against Ajax. The Belgian is one of the best in the world and needs to have a great game against the Reds.
Toby Alderweireld (CB)
Alderweireld has been a consistent performer for us this season, and should partner Vertonghen in the heart of the defence.
Danny Rose (LB)
The English defender has raised his game in recent weeks and his attacking ability could trouble Liverpool’s defence.
Harry Winks (CM)
Pochettino hinted that Winks could start against the Reds, and this could be one of the risks taken by the Argentine as we look to win the Champions League.
Moussa Sissoko (CM)
Sissoko has been excellent for Spurs since the first day of the season. His driving runs could cause all sorts of problems for Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Christian Eriksen (LAM)
The Dane needs to bring his A-game on Saturday and will be a threat from set-pieces as we face the Reds.
Dele Alli (CAM)
Alli hasn’t really been great for Spurs this season, but this is the perfect time for him to star in the biggest game of our season.
Son Heung-min (RAM)
Son could have started at the tip of the attack, but he should switch places with Lucas Moura to create problems for Liverpool.

Lucas Moura (ST)
Possibly the toughest decision that Pochettino has to take. Kane hasn’t played since April and bringing him on as a sub could be the right move for the final. Moura should start.
