Latest Spurs news: Some fans question Harry Kane starting ahead of Lucas Moura

Tottenham’s Champions League dreams were dashed as Liverpool won the final 2-0 on Saturday.

Spurs had pulled off some incredible comebacks to reach the final in Madrid but the start of the game was terrible as Moussa Sissoko was adjudged to have handled the ball.

Mohamed Salah scored the penalty just after the first minute, and the call to penalise Sissoko was a tad harsh.

That didn’t affect us much as we kept pushing to get the equaliser. Harry Kane led the line and was starting his first match since the 1-0 win over Manchester City in April.

The Englishman wasn’t that big an influence in the game as he struggled to get something out of the Liverpool defence.

Mauricio Pochettino had to make some changes and brought on Lucas Moura late in the game.

Moura doesn’t have enough time for magic

The Brazilian attacker was our hero in the 3-2 win over Ajax a few weeks ago.

The former PSG star scored a late hat-trick to take us to the final, and his pace would have troubled Liverpool had he started the game.

Moura was in a bit of form while Kane was brought into the game without any minutes under his belt since his injury.

Some Tottenham fans questioned this decision by Mauricio Pochettino and shared their views on Twitter.
