Spurs transfer news: Maurizio Sarri wants Kieran Trippier at Juventus
The Express reports that Juventus are expected to announce Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri as the new boss despite the Italian winning the Europa League with the Blues.
The former Napoli man led Chelsea to a top-four finish, however, the Italian champions are confident of signing Sarri as their replacement for Max Allegri, according to the report.
Kieran Trippier is a target for Juventus after Napoli cooled their interest in the 28-year-old due to his age (h/t Express).
The Englishman has had a difficult season and the campaign ended on a disappointing note with the loss to Liverpool in the Champions League final.
The report adds that Trippier could cost £35m and there is also interest from Spanish side Valencia.
Pochettino not moving to Italy?
The Express further adds that Mauricio Pochettino is a possible alternative to Sarri, however, Juventus believe signing the Argentine from Spurs would be too expensive.
Losing Trippier but keeping Pochettino is a slight win for Tottenham given that the manager has done extremely well without spending any money in two transfer windows.
Pochettino still has a tough job on his hands as he looks to make the team stronger for next season.
