Spurs transfer news: Zidane to cool interest in Christian Eriksen after Champions League performance

Spanish outlet Diario Madrista (h/t Daily Star) claims that Zinedine Zidane was not impressed by Christian Eriksen’s performance in the Champions League final and will cool his interest in the Dane.

The report claims that Zidane was brought back to Real Madrid and is expected to make several changes to the team.

Eden Hazard and Paul Pogba are the two targets for the Real Madrid manager according to the report, as Eriksen struggled in the Champions League final.

Eriksen had one notable chance as a free-kick was well saved by Alisson, but the Dane wasn’t the only one who had a poor outing in Madrid.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli also failed to impress, and Mauricio Pochettino has a job on his hands to strengthen the side in the summer.

Eriksen is still one of the best in the world and Pochettino proved we can do great things despite not spending for two transfer windows.

Losing Eriksen would be a blow to the side and hopefully, we can keep hold of him for several years to come.
