Latest Spurs news: Fans react to Tottenham wanting £130m for Christian Eriksen
Tottenham star Christian Eriksen admitted that he wants a new challenge and is willing to quit Spurs in the summer, according to the Mirror.
The Dane played in the Champions League final defeat against Liverpool and did not have a great game for us.
The 27-year-old has one year left on his current deal, and the Mirror reports that Spurs want £130m for the midfielder.
Daniel Levy wants to play hard-ball over the sale of the Dane and the report claims that Real Madrid is the preferred destination for Eriksen.
Eriksen was quoted by Ekstra Bladet saying (h/t Mirror):
“I feel that I am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new.
“I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be something negative to stay. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.”
The Dane wants something to take place in the summer, but this will be a huge blow for the side.
Eriksen one of the best in his position
The Dane did well in the second half of the campaign, however, it was disappointing that most of the Tottenham players could not defeat Liverpool on Saturday.
The Reds didn’t really do much in the game except convert their chances while we were unable to get the better of Alisson.
Eriksen did suggest that he could stick with Tottenham if there was not a good offer on the table, however, many fans were ready to say goodbye to the Dane.
Keeping someone who doesn’t want to stay doesn’t make sense. Put a reasonable price on him and get rid.

£130m? Madrid just agreed a £88m fee for Hazard, good old Levy, loves to squeeze every last drop……But hope he gets it and gives all the money to Poch

His head wasn’t in it the second half of the season. Everybody’s replaceable

It would be Daniel Levy’s biggest achievement if he manages to get £130m for a part timer.

Too much, might scare Real away. 80-90 million would be a great fee.

A grumpy Eriksen for a whole season? No thanks.

Levy a shrewd and stubborn business man…probably be happy to play him in the reserves for a year if he doesn’t get right price

I think the actual figure will be 90
