Spurs transfer news: Tottenham enquire about PSG’s Julian Draxler
French outlet L’Equipe (h/t Football.london) reports that Tottenham have enquired about Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler.
The 25-year-old joined PSG from Schalke a few years ago but has failed to cement a starting place in the team.
Draxler started 22 Ligue 1 games for the French champions last season and racked up three goals and seven assists in the league.
The 25-year-old can play almost anywhere in the attacking third, and the report claims that Bayer Leverkusen also enquired about the German’s availability.
The midfielder was one of the brightest talents when coming through the ranks at Schalke, but hasn’t lived up to the billing since his move to France.
Draxler can still improve his game under a manager like Mauricio Pochettino, however, the report adds that the German wants to stay with the French giants.
Tottenham looking for more creativity?
Draxler isn’t the only attack-minded midfielder we have been linked with in recent weeks.
Giovani Lo Celso is another player that has attracted interest from Tottenham (h/t Sun), and it should be an interesting summer regarding transfers.
Spurs need to build on their Champions League final appearance by strengthening the side, and they did not sign a single player in the last two transfer windows.

Draxler could be a smart signing given his experience and talent, but it seems we have to look for other attackers that can improve this team.
