Spurs transfer news: Kion Etete of Notts County joins Tottenham after successful trial
Notts County confirmed that rising star Kion Etete has joined Tottenham after impressing in a trial.
The 17-year-old striker has been at Notts since he was 14 and made his debut for the senior side against Newcastle’s U21 team in the Checkatrade Trophy.
The release from Notts County adds that he made five more appearances last season and follows in the footsteps of other players to have moved from the lower league side to a Premier League club.
Another young player for Pochettino to work with
Etete also updated his Twitter account regarding his move to Tottenham and wanted to start working with the team as quickly as possible.

Mauricio Pochettino has a history of working well with young players, and it will be interesting to see how Etete progresses in the Tottenham system next season.
The youngster played senior games for Notts County last time around, and should he impress for the youth team at Tottenham, there could be some game time for the 17-year-old.

Etete has a long way to go before he can think of starting for us regularly. However, Dele Alli is the perfect example regarding how a lower league player can make it big at Tottenham under Pochettino.
