Spurs transfer news: Danny Rose claims Tottenham will decide on his future
Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is ready to leave the club should Spurs not want him.
The left-back played in England’s win over Switzerland in the Nations League on Sunday and told Sky Sports that he would not mind being at Tottenham, but the club have a policy regarding players that reach a certain age (h/t Sun):
“If I am [at Spurs next season], great. If not, great. It’s no secret I’ve been linked with a move in the media. And it’s the club’s policy to move players on when they reach a certain age.”
The 28-year-old was first-choice under Mauricio Pochettino this season and face competition from Ben Davies.
Rose was one of the better players in the second half of the campaign and the Englishman had spoken about a desire to play up north earlier in the season (h/t Sun):
“I don’t know exactly when but I will get back up north and play some football somewhere. I have been away for over 10 years now and I don’t get to see my mum that often.”
Spurs have big decisions to make in the summer
Rose might not have been great the entire campaign but he still gave it his all for the side. Losing him would be a bit of a blow but we should be looking at upgrades for several positions in the summer.
Davies hasn’t set Tottenham alight with his performances either, and it will be interesting to see if we have lined up a move for a quality left-back.

Spurs could also do with another attacking midfielder and a striker in the summer transfer window.
