Spurs transfer news: Julian Draxler confirms he wants to remain with PSG
German midfielder Julian Draxler isn’t looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer despite being linked with Tottenham.
The French champions haven’t seen the best of the former Schalke man, and Metro suggests that Spurs have been offered the 25-year-old for £35m.
However, the former Schalke star wasn’t considering a move to the Premier League and told Bild (h/t Metro), he wants to remain at PSG:
“I cannot say anything about that, because I have no intention of leaving the club. I also heard nothing from club side. I have not talked to anyone, I know nothing.”
Draxler didn’t perform all that well for PSG last season as he only racked up 5 goals and 8 assists in all competitions.
Tottenham looking at other attacking midfielders
The German was one of the brightest sparks when coming through the ranks at Schalke but his PSG move is yet to pay off.
The report adds that Tottenham are also looking to sign Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis, and have launched a £53m bid for the Argentine sensation.
Lo Celso was also on loan at Betis from PSG before signing on a permanent basis, and the report claims that the La Liga side want £88m for the attacking midfielder.
Tottenham haven’t signed a player in two transfer windows, and we need to strengthen the team in the summer.

Draxler would have been a decent option in the team had we signed him on the cheap, and it will be interesting to see who we target in the coming months.
