Spurs transfer news: Tottenham will not bid more than €40m on Giovani Lo Celso
Tottenham will only bid up to €40m for Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso, according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Football.london).
The Argentine has been linked with a move to Tottenham, but the report claims that Spurs are not looking to spend over €40m for the attacking midfielder.
Lo Celso enjoyed a great season on loan at Betis from Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentine scored 16 goals and provided five assists for the La Liga side as he made his way to the national side.
The 23-year-old is a part of the team that will participate in the Copa America, and it will be interesting to keep an eye on the talented attacker.
Betis want big money for their star
Marca (h/t Football.london) earlier reported that Betis signed the Argentine permanently from PSG for a fee of €22m.
The report added that Betis have to pay PSG around 20% of any fee they receive for Lo Celso, and the Argentine has a mammoth release clause of €100m in his contract.
Tottenham’s maximum reported bid will be well short of that mark, and Marca (h/t Football.london) had also claimed that Real Madrid contacted Lo Celso’s agent over a possible move.

Manchester United were also linked with the youngster (h/t Football.london), and hopefully, we can beat our rivals to his signature this summer.
