Latest Spurs news: Tottenham surprised by Danny Rose’s comments on future
Tottenham’s management have been left surprised by Danny Rose’s comments regarding his future at the club.
The left-back claimed he did not know if he would remain at the club next season and the Englishman also suggested that Tottenham try to move on players that reach a certain age.
Rose was part of the England squad for the Nations League finals and was quoted by the Evening Standard saying:
“I’ll be just sitting tight over the next few weeks and just seeing what happens. Either way, I’m prepared for whatever happens.”
Rose was our first-choice left-back for most of the campaign, ahead of Welshman Ben Davies.
Spurs do not have a rule for older players
The Evening Standard adds that unlike Chelsea, Tottenham do not have a rule about selling players who are above 30.
The report claims that Tottenham have not made a decision on the 28-year-old’s future, and Rose could still remain at the club.
The English left-back has a contract with Spurs until 2021 and the club is trying to get rid of fringe players such as Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, according to the report.
Rose was one of the better performers for Spurs in the second half of the previous campaign.

The Englishman even started in the Champions League final against Liverpool where he was one of our better performers.
