Spurs transfer news: Tottenham open talks regarding Tanguy Ndombele transfer
The Guardian reports that Tottenham have opened talks regarding Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The 22-year-old is one of the best in Ligue 1 and has excellent strength, skill and pace, according to the report.
Tottenham are yet to submit an offer for the midfielder, however, the report claims that Spurs value Ndombele at €50m. That could be a problem given that Lyon have slapped a €75m price tag on the 22-year-old midfielder (h/t Guardian).
Mauricio Pochettino has told Daniel Levy that Ndombele is the right kind of player for Tottenham, and he is looking to sign a few more midfielders, according to the report.
Pochettino eyeing a few more deals
Spurs sold Mousa Dembele in the winter window, and the report claims that Pochettino wants to add more than one player to the midfield.
Tottenham have also held discussions with representatives of Donny van de Beek and Nicolo Zaniolo, according to the report.
Getting two out of the three players would be excellent business for Spurs, given that we haven’t made any signings in two transfer windows.
Ndombele seems ready for the big stage and hopefully, we can finalise a deal for the 22-year-old. Tottenham need some steel in the midfield, and Ndombele seems to be the perfect player for that.
