Spurs transfer news: Leeds expect Tottenham to bid for Jack Clarke
The Daily Mail (h/t Football.london) reports that Championship side Leeds United expect Tottenham to bid for rising star Jack Clarke.
The 18-year-old winger scored two goals and provided a couple of assists from 24 Championship games.
Clarke only made four Championship starts last season but is one of the brightest players Leeds have at the moment.
Leeds suffered promotion heartbreak as they were defeated in the play-offs by Derby County over two legs.
The report adds that Leeds expect Spurs to bid £12m for the winger, however, Tottenham have some other plans to deal with first.
Spurs want to wrap up Ndombele signing
The report claims that Tottenham are waiting to sign Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele before moving onto other targets.
The French midfielder has been excellent for Lyon over two seasons, and the Guardian reports that we have already started talks for the 22-year-old.
Clarke is a talent for the future and Mauricio Pochettino could work his magic on the 18-year-old.
The winger would be a great addition to the team and it is to be seen if Pochettino can use his links with Marcelo Bielsa to sign the Englishman.
Spurs need some options for the wide positions as the last season was difficult due to several injuries.
