Spurs transfer news: Tottenham eyeing Thomas Strakosha as Paulo Gazzaniga replacement
IlMessaggero (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Lazio want €50m for star goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.
The report claims that Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito will only consider bids of that amount for the 24-year-old keeper.
London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in the Albanian keeper, according to the report, as both clubs want back-up keepers.
The report claims that Tottenham are not confident in their second-choice keeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
The Argentine did pretty well replacing Hugo Lloris last season and even broke into the national side.
Spurs lose a senior keeper in the summer
Michel Vorm also left the club on a free this summer, and the report claims that Spurs could be open to spending €50m to sign the Lazio star.
The report adds that Spurs could include a player in the deal for the 24-year-old, who has impressed since becoming the No.1 at Lazio.
Tottenham have a good first-choice keeper in Hugo Lloris, and it will be interesting to see what we plan to do with the goalkeeping situation.
Gazzaniga is a decent No.2 to have and Strakosha would want to play regular football, which is not possible due to Lloris’ stature at the club.
