Spurs transfer news: Pochettino wants to replace Rose with Sessegnon
The Sun reports that Tottenham are willing to sell Danny Rose in the summer and the English defender fears his time at the club is over.
The 28-year-old was our first-choice left-back in the second half of the campaign but recently claimed that he would leave if the club did not want him.
Mauricio Pochettino is open to replacing the 28-year-old with Ryan Sessegnon, and the report claims that Spurs are close to signing the talented youngster.
The 19-year-old has a year left on his current deal and was one of Fulham’s best players as they gained promotion to the Premier League.
Last season wasn’t great for the Englishman, and the report claims that Spurs are having trouble selling Rose.
The left-back earns £80,000-a-week and clubs are finding it difficult to finalise a deal due to his salary (h/t Sun).
The report adds that Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton have been linked with Rose while Sessegnon will cost Spurs at least £35m.
Spurs believe they can get a similar fee for Rose (h/t Sun), and it will be interesting to see if the transfers take place.
Sessegnon needs to improve further
The 19-year-old has the potential to be one of the best in the league, but his time with Fulham last year wasn’t great.
Sessegnon was inconsistent and played in various positions under different managers. Scott Parker got the best out of him but Fulham were more or less relegated by that time.
The Englishman did play as a left-back in certain games but was better when pushed higher up the field.

Pochettino is the perfect manager to work with young players, and hopefully, Sessegnon joins Spurs in the summer.
