Spurs transfer news: Real Betis likely to accept £70million for Giovani Lo Celso

Sky Sports (h/t Sun) claims that Real Betis are likely to accept a £70million offer from Tottenham for Argentine star Giovani Lo Celso.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a great La Liga season scoring 16 times and providing six assists.

Lo Celso will represent his nation in the Copa America, and the report claims that the Argentine has been on Spurs’ radar for a while.

The report adds that the two clubs cannot agree on a fee with Lo Celso having an £88million release clause.

However, Betis could agree a deal for the 23-year-old for £70m but Spurs aren’t sure about spending huge despite not signing players in the last two transfer windows.

Lo Celso is interested in moving to the Premier League, and the report adds that he wants to work under Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs set to change their midfield next season

The report adds that Christian Eriksen could be set to leave Spurs next season while we are also interested in Tanguy Ndombele.

The Dane has been one of the best since his move from Ajax, however, Lo Celso could be a replacement for the attacking midfielder.

Ndombele has the pace, power and skill to star in the midfield, and could be the rock we need in the middle of the park.

Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama and Harry Winks have all suffered injuries last season, while Ndombele had an excellent campaign for Lyon.
