Spurs transfer news: Real Madrid to offer Dani Ceballos and £45m for Christian Eriksen
The Sun reports that Real Madrid will offer £45m and Dani Ceballos for Tottenham star Christian Eriksen.
The Spurs midfielder recently claimed that he is open to taking up a new challenge, and is unlikely to sign a new deal with the club, according to the report.
The 27-year-old has just 12 months left on his contract with Tottenham, and the report claims that Daniel Levy wants close to £100m for the talented Dane.
However, the contract situation for Eriksen could see that value come down, and the report claims that Spurs have been linked with Ceballos in the past.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has told Zinedine Zidane that he wants to leave Real Madrid (h/t Sun), and is currently with the Spanish U21 side, participating in the Euros.
Ceballos scored a stunner in Spain’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Italy recently, but he is one of the brightest prospects at the La Liga club.
The 22-year-old made 23 appearances in the league for Real last season and racked up just three goals, however, he was a substitute in 10 of those games.
Ceballos plays mostly as a central midfielder but can do a job on the left wing too.
Tottenham have a bid decision to make over Eriksen
Daniel Levy has to take a call on Eriksen’s future this season. We could keep him and run the risk of losing him for free after 12 months or can cash in now.

Ceballos and £45m isn’t a bad deal for a player that wants out, however, Levy would try to get more from the Dane’s sale.
