Spurs transfer news: Tottenham enquire about Fenerbahce youngster Elif Elmas

Turkish Football (h/t Express) claims that Tottenham have enquired about Fenerbahce’s 19-year-old midfielder Elif Elmas.

The Macedonian is one of the brightest talents in the Turkish league, and the report adds that Spurs scouted the 19-year-old thrice this season.

The report claims that Spurs have told Fenerbahce about their interest and the Turkish side have placed a €20million price-tag on the 19-year-old.

There is a lot of competition for the 19-year-old, with the report adding that Lazio, Napoli, Fiorentina and Inter Milan are all interested in Elmas.

Borussia Dortmund have also held preliminary talks with Fenerbahce for the 19-year-old, while Atletico Madrid are also keen on the Macedonian, according to the report.

Tottenham haven’t signed any players in two transfer windows, and need to strengthen the side in the summer.

Pochettino looking to add several players in the summer

Elmas isn’t the only player who is being targeted by Spurs. The Guardian reports that Tottenham have already opened negotiations with Lyon over signing Tanguy Ndombele.

Further, Mauricio Pochettino has handed a list of targets to chairman Daniel Levy, and it is to be seen if he delivers in the summer window.

Elmas has the potential to be a special player, but he needs to develop under the right manager.
