Spurs transfer news: Bruno Fernandes’ agent holds discussions with Tottenham

The Sporting Lisbon star had an excellent club campaign and broke into the Portugal national team.
The 24-year-old lifted the Nations League recently and even scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists in the league campaign.
The report claims that Miguel Pinho met with the Tottenham officials on Wednesday and Spurs are considering bidding for the 24-year-old attacking midfielder.
Sporting Lisbon have slapped a price-tag of £70million on Fernandes, but the Portugal international could leave for £45m, according to the report.
Premier League rivals could act after Spurs’ move
The report adds that Manchester United met with Pinho a couple of months ago, and Tottenham’s meeting with the agent could see the Red Devils move for Fernandes.
United officials spoke with Fernandes’ representatives recently and wanted to be kept in the loop regarding any discussions over the Portuguese international (h/t Telegraph).
Fernandes can play in several positions and it will be interesting to see who we sign in this summer window. The Telegraph adds that Tottenham are also interested in Argentine star Giovani Lo Celso.
The Real Betis star enjoyed a fruitful season with the La Liga club and is with the national side for the Copa America.
