Spurs transfer news: Stephen Kelly claims replacing Christian Eriksen will be difficult
Former Tottenham defender Stephen Kelly has had his say on Christian Eriksen’s future and believes it will be difficult to replace the Dane.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from Spurs, with Real Madrid one of the interested parties (h/t Football.london).
The La Liga giants are willing to splash £45m and Dani Ceballos to sign the 27-year-old, according to the Sun.
Eriksen also spoke about his desire of taking up a new challenge after the Champions League final, and Kelly claims the Dane could also play for any Premier League side (h/t Football.london):
“Eriksen, he’s one of those, he’s almost irreplaceable. He could play in almost any team in the Premier League. He’s such a good talent, his vision, his delivery, his execution of the pass.”
The former Tottenham star believed Daniel Levy would get a good deal for Eriksen, but questioned if we could replace the star:
“Obviously they’re going to have to get a huge amount of money and we all know Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator.
“So he’s going to try and get the most for him if he is to go. But how do you replace him?”
The Dane is one of the most creative players in the Premier League and losing him is a big blow.
