Latest Spurs news: Tottenham plan for pre-season as players set to return soon
Football.london claims that Mauricio Pochettino has handed out the return dates for the Tottenham players ahead of pre-season.
The report adds that the dates weren’t finalised last week, but the first set of players will arrive on the week starting 8 July.
The development players are set to return first, according to the report, however, some players who were asked by Pochettino to be part of the first-team for the Champions League final could be given some additional time off.
The first-team stars will start arriving in a staggered fashion, and the report claims that players involved in internationals need to be given three weeks off before returning.
AFCON and Copa could affect the return of some stars
Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth are participating in the Copa America and the final of that tournament takes place 7 July.
Serge Aurier and Victor Wanyama are at the African Cup of Nations, and that final is scheduled on 19 July.
The quartet could come into pre-season training later than the others, and we have to ensure they are fresh and ready rather than force them into starting.
Ben Davies has already returned to Hotspur Way and begun his rehab after groin surgery.

Last season was difficult for several players after a long World Cup. Many stars also returned carrying knocks, and hopefully, our stars avoid such issues for the upcoming campaign.
