Spurs transfer news: Tottenham agree fee with Lyon for Tanguy Ndombele

Sky Sports claims that Tottenham have agreed on a £65m deal for Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele.

The 22-year-old was excellent for the Ligue 1 side last season and helped them finish third in the league.

The Frenchman is a regular for the national team, and the report claims that Ndombele’s medical will take place soon.

The 22-year-old will sign a five-year deal with Spurs, and we have beaten clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Juventus to his signature (h/t Sky Sports).

This would be a great deal for Lyon too as they had signed him for just £7m from Amiens (h/t Sky Sports).

Spurs set to break their transfer record

Tottenham haven’t made any signings in close to 18 months but getting Ndombele would be a great move for the club.

We have missed the presence of Mousa Dembele, and Ndombele would provide a lot of steel in the midfield.

The Frenchman is excellent with the ball at his feet, and it will be interesting to see who Mauricio Pochettino pairs him with.

The Sun reports that our previous transfer record was £35m for Davinson Sanchez, and we seem set to smash that record in the summer.
