Spurs transfer news: AC Milan ready to spend €40m to sign Tottenham target Dani Ceballos

Corriere dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato) claims that AC Milan are ready to spend €40m on Dani Ceballos.

The report adds that the Serie A giants want to beat Tottenham and Arsenal to the signing of the 22-year-old.

The Real Madrid youngster is currently with the Spanish U21 side at the Euros. The attacking midfielder has scored twice and produced a couple of assists in the tournament.

The report claims that Milan hope to beat the Premier League pair to Ceballos’ signing, even though they cannot match the wages that could be offered by the London clubs.

Ceballos only made 20 starts in all competitions last season for Real.

Milan won’t play in Europe next season

Milan were excluded from the Europa League for next season as they came to an agreement with UEFA.

The report claims that the Serie A club will have time to build their side without having to break even under FFP rules immediately.

Marca (h/t Mirror) claimed that Ceballos is only interested in moving away on a loan.

The report adds that the 22-year-old believes he has a future at Real and wants to leave for one season only.
