Spurs transfer news: Tottenham face immense competition for Andreas Skov Olsen
The Mirror (h/t Football.london) had reported that Tottenham were leading the race for Danish youngster Andreas Skov Olsen.
The Nordsjaelland 19-year-old is dubbed as the next Christian Eriksen, and the report adds that the Dane scored 26 times and provided 6 assists for the club.
The 19-year-old winger is attracting a lot of interest across the continent, and it seems there is immense competition for the attacker.
Speaking to TV3 Sport (h/t Football.london), Nordsjaelland director Carsten Jansen claimed that 20 clubs were interested in the teenager:
“Just now, 20 clubs have approached us seriously. We have never experienced anything like this.
“I don’t want to exclude Tottenham from wanting to recruit Andreas, but we haven’t heard from the club.”
Olsen to take the final decision
Jansen added that Olsen would take the final call over his future, but the club should get a decent amount for him.
The Nordsjaelland director also provided a bit of a warning to Olsen by claiming that the game time would reduce if he moved to a bigger club in a bigger league.
Spurs have done well with young players under Mauricio Pochettino, and Olsen could be a smart signing for the future.
