Spurs transfer news: Tottenham close to landing Dinamo Zagreb’s Dani Olmo for €25m

Muchodeporte (h/t Metro) claims that Tottenham are close to landing Spanish U21 forward Dani Olmo in a deal worth €25m.

The 21-year-old Dinamo Zagreb star played a crucial role as Spain U21 won the Euros in the summer.

The former Barcelona youngster still has two years left on his deal with Zagreb, and Croatian reports (h/t Metro) claimed that Manchester United were willing to make a big bid for the 21-year-old.

However, Spurs seem set to beat the Red Devils to the 21-year-old’s signing, and the report claims that we have agreed on terms with the player’s representative, Juanma Lopez.

Olmo had spoken earlier of the Premier League being an attractive destination (h/t Metro):

“La Liga is something more special because for me it is home, with my people.

“But those of England, Germany and Italy also attract me very much.”

Olmo could be a smart backup for Harry Kane, however, the youngster would want to start games regularly and continue his development.

Fernando Llorente seems set to leave Spurs in the summer, and we need to have some competition for the English captain.

Tottenham have already signed Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke in the summer, and the report claims that we are looking to sign Giovani Lo Celso.
