Spurs transfer news: Tottenham in advanced talks to sign Dani Ceballos on loan
Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo (h/t Independent) claims that Tottenham are in advanced negotiations to land Dani Ceballos.
The Real Madrid midfielder was one of the stars in Spain’s U21 Euro win, and the report suggests that the 22-year-old would be available for £44m in the summer.
Estadio Deportivo (h/t Independent) claims that Tottenham
Ceballos had spoken to Marca (h/t Independent) earlier and suggested that he wants more playing time in the upcoming season.
The youngster wasn’t handed several starts under Zinedine Zidane, but he outlined what his target would be (h/t Independent):
“The most important thing in life is to be happy and that can only happen by playing 40 games a year. My personal goal for next season is to play 40 games and to be comfortable at all times. Wherever it is doesn’t matter, but it has to be a place where I can feel valued.”
The Spaniard added that he was open to a move away from Madrid, and wanted to take up a new challenge next year (h/t Independent).
The right deal for Spurs
Ceballos couldn’t shine last season due to a lack of playing time, and getting him on loan first makes a lot of sense.
Should he perform up to expectations, we would be able to get him permanently and that seems to be a low-risk move.

Tottenham have already signed Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, and hopefully, we land our third player of the summer soon.
