Spurs transfer news: Solskjaer does not want Eriksen to replace Pogba at Man United
The Evening Standard (h/t Metro) reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t want Christian Eriksen to replace Paul Pogba.
The Manchester United manager does not want to sell the World Cup winner despite Pogba making it clear he wants to leave Old Trafford in the summer (h/t Metro).
The French midfielder has attracted interest from Real Madrid and Juventus, according to the report, but United do not want to sell their star. The report adds that Eriksen is on United’s list of replacements for Pogba, but Solskjaer prefers to keep hold of the Frenchman.
The Dane has just one year left on his current deal and claimed he was willing to take up a new challenge.
Good news for Tottenham?
Keeping hold of Eriksen would be great and hopefully, he signs a new deal and extends his stay at Tottenham.
The Dane is one of the best in the Premier League and sending him to a direct rival would be a huge mistake. Tottenham have conducted business with United in the past, but we have been on a steady rise while they have gradually fallen down.
The Red Devils don’t have Champions League football to offer either, and it would be a major surprise if Eriksen does move to Old Trafford next season.

If we are to lose the Dane in the summer, it would be best to sell him to a foreign club and get some good money out of the deal.
