Spurs transfer news: Moussa Sissoko could leave Tottenham with AS Roma interested
Italian outlet Leggo (h/t Football.london) reports that AS Roma are interested in Moussa Sissoko.
The French midfielder was one of the surprise performers from the previous campaign and became a regular starter for us.
The Tottenham midfielder even started the Champions League final for us, but we could not get over the line.
The report claims that Roma are eyeing a move for the 29-year-old, and the signing of Tanguy Ndombele could play a part in the deal.
Tottenham could be interested in negotiating a deal for Sissoko despite the Frenchman’s rise of late (h/t Football.london).
The report adds that Sissoko could command a fee of £30m, similar to what Tottenham had paid Newcastle a few years ago.
Tottenham need to keep Sissoko after last season
The 29-year-old was one of the best players for us last season, and selling him in the summer could be a blunder.
The Frenchman was also one of the few who remained fit for the majority of the campaign, and he could do a good job alongside Ndombele.
Although a Harry Winks-Ndombele partnership would be the best for Tottenham, the English midfielder has had his injury problems over the years.
