Spurs transfer news: Tottenham in talks with Real Madrid over Dani Ceballos
Sky Sports confirmed that Tottenham
The Spanish star helped the national side to the U21 Euros. Ceballos scored two goals and provided two assists in the tournament, and the report claims that the 22-year-old prefers a loan move.
The report adds that Ceballos does not want to move away from Spain permanently, and a short-term deal seems likely due to the high release clause of the midfielder.
Ceballos also has four years left on his current Real Madrid deal, and there is interest in the Spaniard from Liverpool too, according to Marca (h/t Sky Sports).
The Spaniard was also open to trying something new next season, and wants to play more games (h/t Sky Sports):
“I would like to try out something new: next year, my goal is to play 40 games and play in the Euros.”
Ceballos would be a great addition to the side and hopefully, we include a clause to make his deal permanent in the next summer.
Tottenham need to sell before they can buy
Sky Sports adds that Spurs need to sell first before buying new players, and Christian Eriksen had claimed he wants to try something new.
There have been no bids for the Danish star, and the report adds that Spurs expect the midfielder to be back in training soon.
