Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in Linfield’s Charlie Allen
The Belfast Telegraph claims that Tottenham are interested in 15-year-old Northern Irishman Charlie Allen.
The Linfield youngster is one of the brightest talents from Northern Ireland, according to the report, and could create Champions League history.
The report claims that the midfielder has been included in Linfield’s Champions League qualifying round first leg clash against Rosenborg.
Allen could be the youngest UK player to participate in the Champions League should he feature in the clash.
The youngster has already played first-team football for Linfield and has caught the attention of Scottish giants Rangers, Celtic and Aberdeen (h/t Belfast Telegraph).
Leeds United are also interested in Allen and so are Premier League clubs Liverpool, Leicester, Manchester United and Manchester City, according to the report.
The report adds that Linfield expect a decent fee for Allen given that he is a first-teamer now.
Pochettino knows how to get the best out of young talent
Mauricio Pochettino has a penchant of getting the best out of young talent and developing them too.
Tottenham already made one young signing this summer with Jack Clarke joining the club from Leeds.
The 18-year-old has returned to the Championship side on loan for the upcoming season, and he has the potential to be one of the best too.
