Spurs transfer news: Eriksen set for pre-season training as Tottenham receive no bids
The Guardian reports that Christian Eriksen will return for pre-season training at Tottenham at the end of the week.
The Dane had spoken about taking up a new challenge in the summer, and the report claims that this was done to facilitate a move away from Tottenham.
Eriksen has been linked with Real Madrid, however, the report claims that Tottenham
Italian champions Juventus are also interested in the Dane, and the report adds that Eriksen has to now focus on the pre-season with Tottenham.
Pogba interests both clubs
The report adds that Eriksen’s situation is further complicated by Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is wanted by both Real and Juve, and the midfielder is above the Dane in the pecking order.
Eriksen is out of a contract at the end of the season and is expected to report for training soon.
Tottenham have already seen several stars return for pre-season and we have been busy in the summer too.
Tanguy Ndombele is the big name we have signed while Jack Clarke was sent back on loan to Leeds United.
It will be interesting to see how Eriksen’s situation develops in the coming months. The Dane still is a quality member of the side and is one of the best in the Premier League.
