Former Tottenham and England striker Peter Crouch announced his retirement after spending the previous season with Burnley.

The forward made his Premier League bow with Aston Villa before joining Southampton and then moving to Liverpool.
The lanky forward spent three years with the Reds and then joined Portsmouth again. Tottenham was his next club as he scored some important goals for the club.
One that will stay in memory was the goal against Manchester City in the 2009-10 season which ensured Champions League football for us in the next campaign.
