Spurs transfer news: Gareth Bale’s agent rubbishes rumours of star leaving
Gareth Bale’s agent has rubbished rumours of the Welshman leaving Real Madrid.
The Sun claims that the Madrid attacker could leave in the summer after falling out of favour under manager Zinedine Zidane.
The report claims that Bale has been linked with a return to England, with Tottenham and Manchester United interested.
The former Tottenham star even rejected a £1.2m-a-week offer from China, according to the Sun, and rumours suggested that Spurs were plotting a £55m move for the Welshman.
The Sun adds that Jonathan Barnett did not go on talkSport to discuss the Welshman’s future but left one simple statement:
“I don’t comment on rubbish.”
Bale facing trouble in Madrid
The report claims that Bale had been booed by some Madrid supporters when he returned for pre-season training.
The Welshman can still do a good job despite being 29, but his wages are the stumbling block, according to the report.
Bale earns £600,000-a-week at Real, and the report claims that he only wants a move to another top European club.
The Welshman would be a decent signing for Tottenham, but his wages are astronomical. There are only a few clubs in the world who can afford to pay that much and unfortunately, we are not in that position yet.

It will be interesting to see where Bale ends up next season, especially after Real bought big names such as Luka Jovic, Eder Militao and Eden Hazard.
