Spurs transfer news: Lo Celso reaches agreement with Betis to leave for €75m

ABC de Sevilla (h/t Football.london) claims that Giovani Lo Celso has asked Real Betis to listen to offers for him.

The report adds that Tottenham are interested in the 23-year-old Argentine, and Lo Celso has come to a verbal agreement with the club to let him leave for €75m.

The Argentine was excellent for the La Liga side last season after joining them on a season-long loan from PSG.

Lo Celso also played for Argentina in the Copa America, and the youngster is happy at Betis (h/t Football.london). However, the 23-year-old wants Champions League football, which Betis cannot provide next season, according to the report.

Tottenham are already in the draw for next season’s Champions League group stage and reached the final of the competition over a month ago.

Lo Celso will not push for a move away

The Argentine will not force a move away from Betis and is hopeful of a transfer this season (h/t Football.london).

Tottenham could use the services of an attacking midfielder, and Lo Celso should be a good signing for Mauricio Pochettino.

The 23-year-old can play in several positions and will improve under the right manager.
