Spurs transfer news: Atletico will move for Eriksen if they fail to land Rodriguez
Marca (h/t Daily Mail) claims that Christian Eriksen is an alternative target to James Rodriguez for Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish giants were close to landing the Real Madrid midfielder, however, reports suggest that they do not want to pay the asking price for the former Monaco man.
Madrid have been interested in Eriksen but have been put off by Tottenham’s price of £150million (h/t Daily Mail).
However, Atletico are confident of landing the 27-year-old for lower than the asking price, and the Dane has travelled with the squad for the Asia tour (h/t Daily Mail).
The report further claims that Napoli
The Colombian spent the last two seasons with Bayern Munich but was inconsistent in his second campaign with the Bavarians.
Atletico landing a second Spurs star?
The La Liga side pulled off a surprise deal by landing Kieran Trippier earlier in the week.
The right-back moved to the La Liga giants after a difficult season at Tottenham, and it will be interesting to see where Eriksen could move to.
The Dane is out of a contract at the end of next season and we would lose him on a free if he isn’t sold now.
