Spurs transfer news: Tottenham to bid for £50million rated Bruno Fernandes
Portuguese outlet A Bola (h/t Sun) claims that Tottenham
Fernandes had a great season with Sporting Lisbon and helped the national side to the UEFA Nations League title in the summer.
The report adds that the midfielder is rated at £50million, and both Premier League clubs are expected to submit similar bids for the 24-year-old.
Fernandes banged in 32 goals last season and is seen as an integral part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s rebuild at United (h/t Sun).
The 24-year-old is comfortable playing out wide and has even started some games in a deeper midfielder’s role.
Fernandes would not come on the cheap as United would have to pay more than £50m for the 24-year-old, and Tottenham’s interest could increase that fee (h/t Sun).
Tottenham trying to get a cheaper deal
The report adds that Tottenham are not willing to meet Real Betis’ asking price of £60m for Giovani Lo Celso, and Fernandes could turn out to be a cheaper option.
The Portuguese certainly can score goals and would be a decent addition to the Tottenham side.
It will be interesting to see who else we add to the team in the summer after completing a couple of deals.

Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke are the only additions to the side in the summer, and we need to add more players before the window ends.
