Spurs transfer news: Tottenham offer Eriksen £200,000-a-week contract in hopes of keeping star
Tottenham have offered Christian Eriksen a new contract worth £200,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mail (h/t Metro).
The Danish midfielder will be a free agent at the end of next season and several top European clubs are interested in his services.
Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona are all keen on the 27-year-old (h/t Metro), and the Dane also spoke about taking up a new challenge recently.
Tottenham want to keep hold of their creative midfielder and the report claims that the new deal is substantially higher than his current contract worth £80,000-a-week.
Eriksen, however, is taking his decision not on the basis of wages offered but on the possibility of a great opportunity arising (h/t Metro).
Madrid and Barcelona have spent big this summer while Juventus have also been big spenders in the transfer window.
Spurs have to make a decision on Eriksen
The report adds that Daniel Levy could look to sell Eriksen this summer if the Dane does not sign a new deal with the club.

The Dane has travelled with the side for the pre-season Asia tour and should feature against Juventus and Manchester United in the coming days.
