Spurs transfer news: Tottenham target Ismaily as Danny Rose’s replacement
Danny Rose was left behind by Tottenham as the team went off to Asia for a pre-season tour.
The English defender will try to seal a move away in the summer and Calciomercato (h/t Football.london) claims that Spurs see Ismaily as a replacement for the left-back.
The Brazilian has tons of experience playing for Shakhtar Donetsk and was even selected for a friendly by the national side.
Ismaily, however, signed a new deal with Shakhtar recently (h/t Football.london) and he is an interesting choice to replace Rose.

Spurs have Ben Davies as the other senior left-back in the team, and the Welshman signed a new long-term deal to stay at the club.
Ismaily might have a ton of experience, however, he is not a young defender being 29-years-old.

The Brazilian would not be a bad second choice to provide cover for Davies, however, the left-back would want to start regularly as he does with the Ukrainian side.
The 29-year-old is an attacking full-back, who would work well under Mauricio Pochettino, and it will be interesting to see if we sign him once Rose leaves.
