Spurs transfer news: Tottenham rejected opportunity to sign Paulo Dybala
Paulo Dybala has faced a tricky time at Juventus under Max Allegri, according to Calciomercato.
The Argentine sensation was close to leaving the club under the former Juventus manager, and the report adds that several parties are interested in the 25-year-old.
The forward did not have a great season with the Old Lady last season as he scored just 5 goals and provided 4 assists from 30 Serie A games.
Dybala is versatile enough to play in several positions in the final third but he struggled for consistency last season.
The report adds that Tottenham turned down the chance to sign the 25-year-old, while Manchester City also decided not to move for the former Palermo star.
Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are still interested in the Argentine (h/t Calciomercato).
Dybala has won several laurels with Juventus over the years and it will be interesting to see where he could end up before the end of the transfer window.
Spurs do need another forward
The Argentine joining Tottenham would have been incredible, giving us loads of options in the final third.
Spurs still need to sign a forward in the summer after seeing the exits of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen.

We cannot go into the new season without proper cover for Harry Kane and we have to make moves in the summer after signing Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke.
