Latest Spurs news: Tottenham handed 2-1 defeat by Man United in Shanghai
Tottenham’s tour of Asia ended on a low as they were handed a 2-1 defeat by Manchester United.
Anthony Martial and Angel Gomes scored the goals for United, with Lucas Moura bagging our only strike in front of a packed stadium.
Harry Kane was partnered up top with Troy Parrott but the game had some really tough challenges flying in.
Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko were involved in some of the feisty moments from the game, and the French midfielder seemed to stamp Daniel James too.
Fortunately, Sissoko continued playing the game and we also got to see Tanguy Ndombele start his first game for Spurs.
The French midfielder was battling with United’s Paul Pogba and did a decent job in his second game for the club.
Players racking up the important minutes
Harry Winks was one of the stars from last season, however, he suffered several injuries.
The Englishman needs to remain fit for the majority of this campaign and should feature alongside Ndombele.
Kyle Walker-Peters could play more minutes next season after Spurs sold Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid.
Son Heung-min will be another important player for us once the campaign starts and hopefully, he scores more goals for the club.
Tottenham have a couple of tough pre-season fixtures before the season starts, with a home game against Aston Villa.
