Spurs transfer news: Dybala wants to stay at Juventus

Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala has been in the news recently with links to Tottenham (h/t Daily Star).

The 25-year-old struggled to score goals last season with just five from 30 Serie A appearances and is also a target for Manchester United (h/t Daily Star).

The Argentine is still one of the best players in the world and his future could be with the Italian giants.

Sky Sports (h/t Daily Star) claims that Dybala wants to remain with Juve and impress new manager Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian took over from Max Allegri in the summer after leading Chelsea to a topfour finish and the Europa League.

Sarri only had one season with the London club and there were some problems, but he ended his tenure on a high.

The report claims that Sarri is planning for next season with Dybala in the team, and even spoke about the player after Tottenham’s 3-2 win over Juve in pre-season:

“I think Dybala can play as a false nine quite comfortably.

“We can also set up the attack slightly differently, with the 4-3-1-2 and Dybala playing on the right of a front two.

“We’ll try to give continuity to the good things we did in the second half [against Tottenham] in Singapore.”

An amazing signing for any club

Dybala would be an incredible coup for any side in the world, including Tottenham.

Spurs need some competition and cover for Harry Kane after selling Vincent Janssen. Fernando Llorente also left on a free and we have no one to replace the Englishman if he gets injured.

The report adds that Pochettino is a fan of Dybala and rates him as one of the best in the world.
